About
Do you have first hand experience with breastfeeding? Do you have the desire to support families during their breastfeeding journey? Peer Breastfeeding Counselors can work independently, use their skills to enhance their services as a birth professional such as birth or postpartum doula, and even obtain jobs at places such as WIC. The Peer Breastfeeding Counselor Training Program is a comprehensive course designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide effective breastfeeding support to new mothers. This course aims to train participants as peer counselors who can offer guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance to women who are initiating and maintaining breastfeeding. You will read through 10 modules, take a very short final exam, and you'll be given 90-days to submit 4 simple assignments. Upon successful completion of the Peer Breastfeeding Counselor Training Program, participants will receive a certificate acknowledging their training as a peer breastfeeding counselor. This certification can enhance professional credentials and demonstrate the participant's commitment to promoting breastfeeding support and education.
